MUSLIM GIRLS SECURE THIRUVALLUVAR UNIVERSITY RANKS

It is heartening to know that the Muslim community in the Vellore district is realizing the importance of education for girls. There is a good increase in the number of Muslim girls opting for higher studies. The Marudhar Kesari Jain College for Women, Vaniyambadi is gaining popularity in the district and Muslim girls studying here are coming out with flying colours. It is learnt that their numbers go on increasing every year, thanks to the strict discipline followed and standard education given in the college.
The 7th Annual Convocation of Thiruvalluvar University was held on 5th June 2012 in Vellore and about 90 students who got 1st ranks were conferred degrees and cash awards given and among those are the following two Muslim girl students of the Jain College:
1. Subiya Fathima S – 1st rank in B.Sc. (Computer Science)
2. Taqiya R.K. – 1st rank in B.Sc. (Interior Decoration)
On the whole 23 students of the Jain College secured University ranks including the above 2 Muslim students who grabbed the 1st ranks. The following Muslim students of the same college also got the University ranks as per details given:
3. Ismath Aara A – 2nd rank in B.Sc (Interior Decoration)
4. Adeeba Falak – 4th rank in B.Sc (Interior Decoration)
5. Husna Shajer S – 7th rank in B.Sc (Interior Decoration)
No doubt the college is very much in the limelight now.
We congratulate and wish the Jain College for women and the rank holders all the best.
